Summary findings across tracked brands

Three patterns that emerge from the Bangladesh dataset.

Brands with Bangladesh-specific carbon data

~0%

No international brand in this tracker discloses country-level carbon data for Bangladesh. Beximco Textiles publishes partial facility-level data as a domestic manufacturer, but buyer brands do not disaggregate Scope 3 emissions by country.

Brands signed to the Bangladesh Accord

~37%

Three of the eight tracked brands are signatories to the Bangladesh Accord on Building and Fire Safety — the most significant binding commitment mechanism in the sector. However, Accord membership does not include climate disclosure requirements.

Brands with SBTi-approved targets

~37%

Fewer than half of tracked brands have SBTi-approved targets. None translate those commitments to Bangladesh-specific reporting, despite Bangladesh being one of the most flood-exposed garment manufacturing economies.

Data compiled from: CDP, World Bank, Germanwatch, Bangladesh Accord, Clean Clothes Campaign, corporate sustainability reports, peer-reviewed research. No figures estimated without disclosure. Independent research — not affiliated with any NGO, government, or brand. Last updated April 2026.
